A Bit About Our Bears

Here is Josie, she's our little 'cover-bear'. She's 22" tall - which is a large bear. It's just right for hugging - a little bit larger than most play dolls. Bears like Josie (and Benedict, who is very dark brown), are made from fine mohair, wool felt, German glass eyes (or embroidered, if requested) and stuffed with 100% pure wool stuffing. All the joints move, and are special safety joints that won't come apart. We don't use traditional cotter-pin joints for these bears.


A bare bear, 22" is priced from $150 and up. They can also be dressed in something you send, re-fashioned out of a garment you send, or in something we make here, at an additional charge. The bears are just the right size to wear a newborn outfit.

You can also donate a bear to a chronically or terminally ill child - just let us know when purchasing. More info at the in the sidebar

I am working on a line of bears that are re-fashioned from wool tweed coats, and woolen blankets. They should be precious. Same size as the mohair bears. We're working on adding smaller bears to the family as well. Their prices should be a bit lower. Besides Blessed Bears, we also make Blessed Babies - a line of Waldorf-style dolls, also with prayer cards inside. They will come dressed in re-fashioned natural fibre clothing, or beautiful vintage dresses made from pillowcases and antique hankies.
